Portfolio of sold works
Welcome to my portfolio of sold works, a collection that reflects the heart of my artistic journey. I started painting seriously about a year ago, and these are some of the pieces that found a new home.
Each piece in this gallery has found a new home, carrying with it a story and connection that continues beyond the studio. These works explore themes of resilience, redemption, and grace, often emerging through vibrant colors, layered textures, and abstract elements that invite contemplation. While these pieces have moved on to new owners, their spirit remains, representing milestones in my evolution as an artist. I hope they inspire you, and I invite you to explore my current available work to continue this journey with me.
Title: Angels Amongst Us
In this piece, I wanted to capture the unseen yet ever-present protection that surrounds us. The faceless figure represents the idea that angels come in many forms, not always visible to the eye, yet their presence is deeply felt. With her patchwork dress, she carries a story—each fabric square a memory, a moment, or a life experience stitched together. The angel wings behind her are subtle, blending into the soft blue and orange-toned background, symbolizing the quiet ways angels move among us.
I’ve incorporated a mix of textures, from spray paint to stenciling, to create a layered, ethereal atmosphere that evokes the feeling of being enveloped by something greater than ourselves. The text faintly scattered throughout the background suggests whispers of guidance and reassurance, words we may not always hear but are always there.
For me, "Angels Amongst Us" is a reminder of the unseen protection and the quiet strength that surrounds us, even in our most vulnerable moments. I leave the interpretation open, inviting you to find your own connection to this idea of divine guardianship.
Unscramble Me
This piece is an ode to my husband's unwavering loyalty, symbolizing the way he stands by me, even when life feels tangled and chaotic. The figures holding hands represent the strength we draw from each other. The vibrant background, layered with abstract marks and textures, mirrors the inner turmoil I sometimes feel. Yet, amidst the colorful disorder, there’s a sense of unity and peace—reflecting his steadfast support. In our togetherness, I find clarity.
Through layers of color, texture, and subtle symbols, I invite you to witness a love that holds firm, even in the messiness of life.
This playful and vibrant mixed media painting captures the curious, alert gaze of a rabbit, full of personality. The background swirls in soft, blended colors with layers of texture and stenciled foliage, bringing a sense of movement and energy. I was drawn to the idea of mixing bold colors in unexpected places to create a whimsical, expressive feel. The rabbit stands out with vivid blues, pinks, and oranges, suggesting both the natural world and a sense of imagination. While the scene feels lively and full of joy, there's a quiet observation in the rabbit's eyes, as if it's caught in a moment of contemplation. The layering of textures and colors allows the viewer to explore the painting in new ways with every glance.
Every piece I create reflects my journey of seeking and noticing the beauty in all things, whether bold and obvious or quietly hidden. This artwork invites you to find that joy, those small moments of wonder in the everyday, and reminds me that God's presence can be felt in the simplest of scenes.
This artwork speaks to the moments of quiet reflection when we pause and take a breath, embracing both the challenges and the beauty of life. The layered patterns symbolize the complexities of my own journey, where each experience, whether painful or joyful, has contributed to the tapestry of who I am. The gentle, peaceful expression reflects the moments when I’ve turned inward, trusting in God’s grace to carry me through the darkest of times. The golden thread of His presence runs through every trial, bringing me back to a place of peace and surrender. This piece embodies that quiet moment of connection to the divine, where despite the chaos of life, we find rest in His hands, and trust that we are always held.
Eve stands in this moment of raw vulnerability, having tasted the knowledge of both good and evil. Her gaze reflects the weight of her choices, much like my own journey of wrestling with mistakes and finding redemption. In this piece, I’ve captured the tension between beauty and brokenness, echoing my own experiences of standing before God, exposed in my failings, yet met with His grace. The swirling flowers symbolize both the potential for new life and the thorns of regret that come with disobedience. Just as Eve must now face the consequences of her actions, I have often stood in that space, knowing I have fallen short, yet also trusting that God's grace will carry me forward. This artwork speaks to the moment of reckoning we all face—when we are caught in our failings, yet still held by the possibility of redemption.
Title: Seeds of Grace
In this expressive, layered composition, bursts of vibrant color and texture form a tapestry of life, with delicate white blooms dancing in the foreground. The dynamic background—rich in deep, earthy hues and playful splashes of pinks, greens, and golds—reflects the unpredictable nature of life’s journey. Yet, amid the vibrant chaos, the soft white forms of flowers emerge, representing moments of grace, hope, and beauty rising out of life’s trials.
Created through a process of intuitive layering, this piece speaks to the viewer on a deeper level, inviting them to find their own moments of grace in the midst of life’s complexities. The blooms are a reminder of resilience and faith, quietly growing and pushing through the challenges of life, much like our personal journey of seeking, finding, and experiencing the divine. There is a constant awareness of something greater, an unseen world at work, yet it allows room for the viewer’s personal interpretation and connection.
This artwork serves as a metaphor for life's twists and turns, where beauty often blooms in the most unexpected places, offering the hope that no matter the difficulty, grace can always break through.
Title: "In Bloom"
This vibrant mixed media artwork, In Bloom, invites viewers into a moment of quiet reflection and transformation. A serene female figure stands with her eyes gently closed, holding a single yellow flower, symbolizing personal growth and inner peace. The expressive layers of texture and color in the background echo the complex, multifaceted journey of life, filled with both challenges and moments of grace.
The dragonflies fluttering above, along with the abstract floral patterns, symbolize change, lightness, and a sense of freedom, offering a reminder of the unseen forces at work in life’s journey. The bright, textured background full of geometric and organic shapes captures life’s rich complexity, while the figure remains grounded, connected to her moment of stillness.
The artist’s golden thread weaves through this piece, reflecting a deeper narrative of resilience, faith, and the divine presence. There’s a sense of calm assurance in the figure’s expression, as if she is quietly attuned to a world beyond sight, trusting the process of growth and seeking strength in her personal connection with the divine. Yet, the interpretation is open, leaving space for the viewer’s personal journey and response, inviting them to find their own moments of grace and resilience in the artwork.
Title: "Unveiled"
In Unveiled, I explore the delicate balance between vulnerability and strength, using soft, expressive lines and translucent layers of color to reflect the emotions we often keep hidden. The face in this piece seems to emerge from a dreamlike state, with vibrant washes of orange, blue, and purple blending together, suggesting a soul in transition.
The weathered edges of the paper remind me of the passage of time and the way life leaves its marks on us. Yet, within that, there is resilience. The figure's eyes, while tender, hold a gaze that speaks to longing and quiet determination—much like my own journey of seeking and experiencing something beyond the visible.
As with all my work, this piece is a reflection of my faith and the constant awareness of the divine in everyday life. Unveiled invites you to pause and reflect, allowing space for your own interpretation while sharing a quiet message of hope, transformation, and grace that I have personally experienced along the way.
Title: "Unspoken"
In Unspoken, I wanted to capture the depth of emotion that often remains hidden beneath the surface. The figure’s expression speaks to me of vulnerability, uncertainty, and a quiet strength—feelings that many of us experience but rarely voice. Using charcoal’s raw, expressive qualities, I allowed the shadows and soft smudges to evoke a sense of internal conflict, as if the subject is caught in a moment of reflection or realization.
The unfinished quality of the hair and loose, sketch-like nature of the lines reflect the idea that none of us are complete; we are all works in progress, shaped by our experiences and struggles. The eyes hold a searching gaze, a longing for understanding, mirroring my own journey of seeking meaning and connection with the unseen.
Through this piece, I invite the viewer into a space of introspection, where the unspoken emotions and thoughts can surface. It's a reminder that even in moments of uncertainty, there is a deeper strength within us—a connection to something greater that helps guide us through life’s complexities.
Title: "Wild Freedom"
In Wild Freedom, I sought to capture the raw, untamed spirit of this majestic horse, representing not only the beauty and strength of the animal but also the boundless freedom we all long for. The vibrant, dynamic brushstrokes and bold color choices reflect the energy and motion of the horse, galloping through the unknown with fearless determination. The white strands of the mane flow freely, as though caught in a gust of wind, evoking a sense of liberation and wildness.
As I worked on this piece, I reflected on my own journey of faith and resilience—the push and pull of life’s challenges and the grace that often accompanies moments of struggle. The horse, with its powerful presence, embodies that grace, moving forward through the vibrant chaos with confidence. This connection to the unseen world, where strength and beauty coexist in the midst of turmoil, speaks to my own experiences of seeking and finding moments of clarity and purpose.
Wild Freedom invites you to embrace the energy of the unknown, the untamed, and to find your own path of strength and freedom amid life’s twists and turns. The viewer is left to interpret the scene through their own lens, finding meaning in the motion and color as it resonates with their personal journey.
Title: "Eternal Bloom"
In Eternal Bloom, I wanted to capture the beauty and resilience that emerge from the challenges of life. The bright red flowers, textured and bold, seem to grow from an otherworldly landscape, symbolizing the moments of grace that push through even in the most difficult circumstances. The swirling, iridescent blues, purples, and greens of the background reflect the ever-changing nature of life, where beauty often arises from the unexpected.
The rich texture created through the layered mediums evokes the sense of something organic and alive, a garden that thrives despite rocky terrain. These blooms represent hope and resilience—qualities that I find essential in my own journey of faith. The shimmering background speaks of the unseen world that surrounds us, the divine presence that offers moments of clarity and beauty amid life's uncertainties.
Eternal Bloom invites the viewer to reflect on their own path, to see where flowers of hope and resilience have pushed through their own rocky grounds. It’s a celebration of the beauty that can come from struggle, where grace is always just below the surface, waiting to emerge.
Title: "Noah's Resolve"
In Noah’s Resolve, I wanted to portray the strength, wisdom, and unshakable faith of Noah, capturing the moment when he stood against the world’s disbelief, trusting the divine amidst overwhelming odds. His weathered face, with deep-set eyes, reflects both the burden of his mission and the quiet determination that carried him through it. The muted blues and browns of the background emphasize the weight of time and the tumultuous emotions that must have surrounded him during his fateful journey.
The rough textures and layered strokes echo the storms Noah weathered—both the literal flood and the metaphorical storms of doubt and isolation. His gaze is directed toward the unseen, toward a higher purpose, a testament to his unyielding faith and resilience. In his eyes, I see not just the story of a man chosen by God, but the reflection of all of us as we seek meaning, purpose, and strength in our own storms.
As I worked on this piece, I felt the connection to Noah’s story resonating deeply with my own journey of faith, trusting in something greater even when the world doesn’t understand. Noah’s Resolve invites you to reflect on your own moments of perseverance, when the unseen carried you forward, and to draw strength from those experiences, much like Noah did.
This charcoal drawing captures the deep emotional intensity of Peter from the Bible, reflecting a pivotal moment of introspection. The raw, expressive marks and soft shading bring out the anguish and internal conflict on Peter’s face, perhaps referencing his denial of Christ or his eventual repentance. The lack of intricate detail emphasizes the profound emotion, leaving much to interpretation while inviting the viewer to connect with the human vulnerability of Peter's spiritual journey. The stark contrast between light and shadow draws attention to the figure’s expressive eyes and mouth, creating a striking visual narrative of remorse and redemption. This piece serves as a reflection of Peter's humanity, offering a glimpse into the weight of his struggles and faith.
This encaustic triptych captures the graceful freedom and delicate beauty of birds in flight. Each panel features a single bird, poised mid-air, their wings outstretched as they move effortlessly through soft, pastel skies. The layers of beeswax create a dreamlike atmosphere, blurring the lines between reality and imagination, as if these birds are soaring through a world just beyond reach.
For me, this triptych represents the fragility and resilience of life. The birds, though small and vulnerable, are powerful symbols of freedom, hope, and movement. Their flight reminds me of the unseen forces that carry us forward, even when we feel weighed down by life’s challenges.
I’ve chosen to work with translucent layers and soft, muted colors to evoke a sense of serenity and peace. The encaustic medium allows the textures and colors to blend and flow organically, much like the natural world itself. As always, I invite you to find your own connection with these birds—perhaps a memory of freedom, a moment of peace, or a longing to rise above.
