About me
My work is rooted in a deep connection to the unseen, exploring the tension between internal and external worlds—what we reveal versus what we hold within. Guided by my Christian faith, I weave themes of seeking, finding, and experiencing God’s presence into my art. My goal is not to preach but to create contemplative spaces where viewers can connect with the work through their own experiences and perspectives.
I use an intuitive yet intentional process, building layers of mixed media, abstract textures, and soft washes of color. My materials—acrylics, inks, oils, and collage—enable me to create depth and meaning through mark-making, stencils, and glazes. This layering reflects life's complexity, symbolizing challenges, resilience, and transformation.
Drawing from a global upbringing in Switzerland, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Egypt, as well as over 30 years as a trauma counselor, I have developed a deep understanding of the human experience. My art reflects this understanding, aiming to offer moments of stillness, introspection, and connection.
I believe in a God who is unseen yet deeply present, guiding us toward healing and freedom. Through my work, I strive to create art that resonates on a spiritual and emotional level, offering a space for reflection and discovery.
